Thought I'd step out of the every day hum drum randomness to take a moment to say:
Even though this country isn't perfect by any means, even though the economy is plummeting, and even though the positive side seems to be shrinking daily, this country has shown that they are open minded enough to put a black man in office.
What a glorious nation.

i wasnt too happy with obama being president, but whatever. it is a change, and i do think its amazing that we have become so open minded. hopefully he will live up to what he says, and help our country to grow. :)
you are right, it would be so awesome if a woman had won, but all that really matters is who can do the job the best, and who can help fix our country. to be honest, i didnt really care who won, i thought either mccain or obama would do a good job. well just have to see what happens during these next four years. :)
I think he is good, but im worried that people will have voted, not for the policies, but for the fact that he is black. I hope he is gonna be good, because there is a lot of expectation, and proberly alot of pressure.
I think he will be fab ;)
And these guys are right, we really do need a woman, i think we need one here in england too, someone needs to show the world that margret fatcher was a fluke, and women are fab too!!

anyway, any nation could have did it. to be honest i think i would have preferred hillary clinton but im sure obama will do his job well too. then again, it's not my country. ill just leave this all to you americans.

yeah, most polititians will lie to get what they want. you just have to try to distinguish between the liars and the ones who are honest.
yeah, i think he will do a good job, and i think it is good like you said, to have someone that reflects your country as it is now- getting bigger and better, and acepting more people and nationalities.
I think it is good to have a change :)
